Lorac Pro Palette 2 Review

Okay like I really need another eyeshadow palette right? I do, couldn't resist from looking at the colors inside this new Pro 2 from Lorac. Unlike the first pro palette they came out with, this one has a nice blend of cool and warm tones. More leaning toward a silvery-gray range. A good handful of shades caught my eye since I find cool tones to be more flattering on my skin tone. I had to have this palette!

Here is the layout of the colors. So into that pinky peach shade Nectar, Navy, and Jade. Gorg! And lets not forget Plum and Chrome. Those are all my favorites so far.

Here is a close up of all the colors. All matte shades on top, and shimmers on the bottom row.

Pigmentation is phenomenal, very similar to their first pro palette. What I love is that all shades are very blend-able. But you definitely need to build up the color to get maximum intensity.

Happy blending,

The Balm Cosmetics: A Collection

The Balm may seem like a hard to get brand. But aren't things that seem are hard to get worth it? Yep, so worth it! The Balm has the cutest 1950's quirky pin up packaging that catches my eye. And the product inside is always worth a mention. I purchase items from this brand whenever it's on Hautelook, a flash sale site. You can get them on, and certain Khol's stores also.

Here's my little gathering of their awesome products. I honestly love them all, always impressed with each item I try!

From left to right:
Sexy Mama Anti-Shine Translucent Powder
Awesome at setting your foundation, although it is supposed to be translucent, there is a slight tint to it. Makes my makeup stay in place.

Mary-Lou Manizer highlighting powder
One of the brands best sellers! The most beautiful champagne highlight for the highest points of your face. Be sure to use a light hand! It is super pigmented. Works great as an eyeshadow and  inner corner eye brightener.

Instain blush in Argyle
This is a long wear blush. Love this color for fair skin tones, it's a baby petal pink. But don't let the light color fool you, it can pack quite a punch since the pigmentation is amazing. It really does last all day on your cheeks.

Overshadow's in No Money, No Honey and If You're Rich, I'm Single
These are both mineral eyeshadows, meant to use alone or over a shadow to give it a pretty luminosity.  No Money, No Honey is a sort of a pale gold, very similar to Mary-Lou Manizer, just in a loose form. If You're Rich, I'm single is  a cool tone mauvy brown shade, love!!

Schwing Black Liquid Liner
A super black MATTE liquid liner. I'm normally not a fan of liquid liners because they are hard to work with and shiny. I decided to give this one a shot since it is matte. This liner was life changing!! Super fine tip for the most precise line, and so gorgeously matte.

Origins GinZing Eye Cream & High Potency Night-A-Mins Renewal Cream Review

I've been wanting to try the Origins GinZing
Eye Cream since it has been raved about among other beauty bloggers. When I saw this eye cream in a gift set with the Night-A-Mins Cream, I new it was time to give it a shot.

This particular eye cream is supposed to instantly reduce the look of dark circles, de-puff, and of course moisturize. It has brightened up my under eye area, which I like in an eye cream. But the main reason I use an eye cream is for hydration. Its performance in doing so is average. Didn't WOW me. Boo! I really wanted to love this product but, I just didn't find that something special factor to it.

Retails for $30 at Sephora

Now, on the other hand..the High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream is hands down amazing. This night cream renews your skin over night. I saw an immediate difference the first time I used it! It is supposed to  resurface skin while adding moisture. Basically it sort of exfoliates as you sleep, revealing brighter newer skin. I've seen a difference in my acne scars and I've been using this mostly every other night for two months now. Love it!! Night-A-Mins cream is not harsh on my skin, but I do not recommend using this everyday, too much exfoliation may damage your skin.

 Retails for $39.50 at Sephora

Both these products are apart of Origins best sellers list
I highly suggest you try the Night-A-Mins cream.

Mac x Lorde Pure Heroine Lipstick Review and Swatches

Mac has been coming out with awesome collections lately, and this one is no exception!
So they teamed up with Lorde to create her signature lipstick, and I'm all about it. She is always rocking those deep, dark, vampy lips. This new lipstick, Pure Heroine is most certainly a reflection of that.

Pure Heroine is described as a deep plum
It is a lot darker in person

It has an amplified finish and in Mac terms, that means it is really pigmented and comfortably creamy on the lips. One of my favorite finishes.

Now since it is so dark, I recommend using a liner or a lip brush for application.
And don't forget to exfoliate those lips! I noticed it accentuated the dryness in my lips.

Will I be wearing this to her concert? You bet!!
$16 at Mac stores, counters, and online. It is limited edition so grab it while you can!

Dose of Colors Review &Swatches

New and upcoming brand Dose of Colors has caught my eye with their beautiful packaging, and most importantly, what is inside. The brand has an array of lip colors, glosses, and eyelashes. I have ordered two of the lipsticks and by golly they are amaze-balls!
Beautifully creamy
Super pigmented
Amazing lasting power
Most certainly my favorite lipsticks of the moment.

I have the colors Sorbet and Love Potion.

Sorbet is a soft peachy color (brand new to their line)

And love potion is an amazing blend of a purply pink

These lipsticks retail at $16 on the Dose of Colors website.
I totally recommend these babies.

Mac Prep+Prime Natural Radiance Primer Review

Mac Cosmetic's Prep+Prime Natural Radiance primer is one of my newest loves. In the past I would stay far, far away from something labeled "radiance" because of my oily skin. But this is actually awesome for people with an oily skin type. This specific primer is yellow so it helps to neutralize redness, you can even wear it all on its own if you want that healthy glow. My preferred way to wear it is under my foundation, it gives a "lit from within"appearance, even with a matte foundation. It helps my makeup become more long lasting as well.
It has a hydrating gel texture and feels nice on the skin. Also has vitamins E and C.
You can find this at your local Mac store or counter.

Lime Crime Lip Product Review

Lime Crime is known for their wacky colors, for eyes, lips, and soon to be hair.  But I'm going over just my little collection of lippies. First of all, lets please admire the cutesy packaging..unicorns and roses oh my!!
Lime Crime has two highly pigmented formulas of lip products; the famous Velvetines, which is a liquid lipstick that dries to a beautiful matte finish, and creamy, highly pigmented lipsticks. Both are super comfortable on the lips. If you want that matte lip that is super long wearing even after eating, the Velvetines are your new best friend. If you like a moisturizing formula that looks luscious, the original lipsticks  are for you.

Now, on to the color selection, they have it all, like the whole color of the rainbow! Red, yellow, blue, green, purple...I can go on ahah! It surly attracts the younger generation of makeup lovers. But then again, if you're a 50 year old wanting to rock a mint green lip, be my guest!

My collection from left to right:
Red Velvet - the perfect true red, looks good on everyone
Pink Velvet- Hot pink, I love this one on olive skin tones
Airborne Unicorn- bold medium purple
No She Didn't- awesome bright blue
Me rocking No She Didn't. Not an everyday color but if you get the chance to wear it, it is so fun. Very opaque.

Pink Velvet is my favorite hot pink to wear.
Here I'm wearing Airborne Unicorn, it is actually pretty wearable. Such a bold purple shade. Reminds me of Heroine from Mac.

Velvetines are $20
Opaque Lipsticks are $18 on

Did I not mention that I love these lipsticks? I'm looking forward to growing my collection.

Kenra Blow Dry Spray & Volume Spray Review

Howdy! Looking to perk up your hair care products?
Kenra sure has impressed me.

Kenra's Superhold Volume Hairspray #25 gives such great hold without leaving the hair feeling sticky, or stiff. I would even categorize it as a working hairspray since it feels so light in the hair. Also I do notice it fluffing up my hair, by giving lots of added volume. Love it!

The Kenra Blow-Dry gosh this stuff is wonderful. This blow dry spray is to be used on damp hair, decreases the blow dry time in half, and leaves the hair oh-so silky. You can see its best results after you round brush. I would give it 3-4 sprays on medium to thick hair, and 2-3 sprays for fine hair. They also have a lighter version for finer hair.
And guys..the smell of these products are beyond anything I've ever tried before. So fragrant that it will linger in the hair like you've just sprayed perfume (in a good way). But not for someone who is sensitive to strong scents.
